"He's like fire and ice and rage. He is the storm at the heart of the sun and he... is The Doctor!"
HISTORY
In the distant year of 2006, one crazy school kid decided to make his own Doctor Who movies at home, using his David Tennant - style costume, RC Dalek and toy sonic screwdriver. The first film was called 'The Whippyrope' [2006]. His movies were mainly solitary but on the odd occasion a friend popped by and played the companion. Regrettably, the later Who films are now lost (or buried somewhere at home). in these later films, guest actors were in every movie. There was even a regeneration (which was pretty bad to be honest)!
Joe Sheehan (Executive Producer of FBC) met the head (me, Pete Messum) and together created the final episode appropriately titled 'The Raining Bears' [2008]. The very next year FBC produced a brand-new original series 'The Pete & Jake Adventures'. The series continued into 2011 and stopped for a break.
During this break, the two budding film makers decided to go back to making Doctor Who movies and to produce one whole hour-long film; it failed and the two hit the floor. Literally, they tripped over each other! After that failure, a series was planned in the most unlikely of places - a school trip! 13 Episode were planned and many scripted. Meanwhile, a YouTube account was set up to put up the films made over the years and to showcase the DW Fan film and PJA.
Their most critically acclaimed production (so far), Hunt of the Haemovors [2011] is now available to watch on YouTube. The series is set to continue with a newly-edited Special Edition version of Hunt of the Haemovors and the special episode Shadow of the Dead [2012] has recently aired on YouTube and the full series is to begin in the first episode A New Beginning [2012] later this year. The episodes will continue in 'The Time God', "Memory Lane and 'Horror of the Daleks' Filming has begun on the episodes and will continue until the filming of the series is complete. Different projects such as the Sherlock pilot and The Pete & Jake Adventures: Season 4 will come out later this year and will be co-produced with Tescelector Productions. The first half of the series is set to air alongside the first part of (the official) Doctor Who Series Seven and will feature the first five episodes. The second half of the FBC series will be filmed alongside the first half and filming for episode 6 will be conducted at Stonehenge and episode 7 at Brighton beach. The rest of the episodes are still waiting for full conformation. Filming for "A New Beginning" has begun and is to be completed soon with "Horror of the Daleks" [2012] following. Episodes 4 & Episode 5 will guest star Adam Mayhew and Toby Mizzi and a 2012 Christmas Special is rumored...
