FBC Productions are pleased to announce that the long-awaited Doctor Who special will be released this December. Filmed back in February this year, the special was intended to be the first episode in a new series titled Doctor Who: Evermore, before production on the second and third episodes was delayed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Additional filming on the special was conducted back in September, when restrictions relaxed in the UK, allowing the team to re-work the episode into a standalone special. While we hope to continue the story of Doctor Who: Evermore, it is likely that the miniseries will be structured more like specials than the monthly or weekly series our viewers may be used to. Titled Planet of Ghosts, the special will see the Doctor (George Hayes, returning from Exodus) arriving on the desolate planet of Ovarnus, where he encounters Katie (Georgia Swinburn), the only survivor of a shipwreck. Sinister creatures stalk the surface of the planet, and it's up to the Doctor and Katie to find out what... Doctor Who: Evermore - Planet of Ghosts will be released this December. |
